PASSIVE VOICE

Kali ini kita akan membahas materi tentang Passive Voice dalam bentuk simple present tense dan simple past tense.

Pengertian Passive Voice

Passive voice atau kalimat pasif adalah suatu bentuk kalimat dimana subjek kalimat menerima aksi, bukan melakukan aksi. Tidak seperti active voice yang fokus terhadap pihak yang melakukan aksi, bentuk ini lebih berfokus kepada pihak atau objek yang menerima hasil dari suatu aksi tersebut.

Pola Passive Voice

Passive voice in Simple Present

Pattern: Be (am, is, are) + V3(Past Participle)

Contoh:

1. Mother eat a banana. (Active)

    A banana is eaten by mother. (Passive)

2. They always feed the cats

    The cats are always fed by them

Passive Voice in Past tense

Pattern: Be (was/were) + V3

Contoh:

1. He played football yesterday.

    Football was played by him yesterday.

2. She cooked two plates of rice last night.

    Two plates of rice were cooked by her last night.
